This time all money raised will go towards 5 BIG CHARITIES who have helped people locally for years.The charities are as follows:1. Mary McGinley’s flights from Donegal to Dublin for cancer patients2. The Jack n Jill foundation 3. John Coll MS treatment fund4. Eamon McDevitt’s bus service for cancer patients travelling Donegal to Galway.5. The Wheelchair Association (Gweedore Branch)Tickets will be available from Derrybeg & Bunbeg Post Offices and from members of the cast. ORANGE WEATHER ALERT: SEVERE WINDS ON THE WAY IN LATEST STORM

first_imgMET EIREANN has issued a weather warning for County Donegal tonight.The forecaster has issued an unusual STATUS ORANGE warning.The Wind Warning is for Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim, Donegal. “South to southwest winds will increase 60 to 80 km/h and gust 100 to 120 km/h., later Wednesday afternoon and evening, in exposed coastal areas of Connacht and Donegal,” said Met Eireann.The alert was issued at 8pm this evening and is valid from 3pm tomorrow, Wednesday until midnight tomorrow….a total of nine hours.Hurricane-force winds WILL hit Donegal despite claims we won’t see such powerful wind gusts.A less severe storm is hitting Donegal this evening. Strong southerly winds will gust over 100km/h along parts of the west and northwest coasts.STATUS ORANGE – Weather Warning – Be Prepared This category of ORANGE level weather warnings is for weather conditions which have the capacity to impact significantly on people in the affected areas.
