Starfish Greathearts Foundation’s Wellness Wagon takes healthcare to children in impoverished communities in KwaZulu-Natal. (Image: Starfish Greathearts Foundation, Facebook)An international foundation is ensuring quality basic healthcare is taken to kids in impoverished communities in South Africa.Starfish Greathearts Foundation, a UK-based charity, is running an online crowdfunding campaign to raise R100 000 for a mobile clinic called the Wellness Wagon, which will serve 3 500 children per year in KwaZulu-Natal. The funds will be used for operational costs.The Wellness Wagon will be staffed by a nurse who will serve one of Starfish’s community-based operations.The foundation said that accessible healthcare for children will help prevent child mortality caused by preventable diseases. “The Wellness Wagon is based on the School Integrated Health programme, and is aimed at ensuring the physical, mental and social well-being of children to maximise their learning capabilities.”Wellness Wagon services include:Specialist screening and testing equipment to detect and treat HIV, TB, sexually transmitted diseases and malnutrition at an early stage,Eyesight, hearing and oral hygiene,Immunisations,Deworming,Prevention messaging and campaigning (such as prevention of drug and alcohol use and abuse, counselling on sexual and reproductive health issues),Para-medical care-physiotherapy, dietetics, and;Anthropometric assessmentsSince it was established in May 2001, Starfish has supported orphaned or vulnerable children in South Africa by working in partnership with community-based organisations. They reach over 14 000 children in seven provinces each year.The online crowdfunding campaign has raised over R63 000 so far. This is high level communication that ensures that you know where they are going, and that you are aligning the right resources to do your part. You also have to communicate much more frequently at a more tactical level, to make sure what is being delivered is working.Caring requires constant communication.ExecutionYou simply cannot retain a strategic client without being able to execute effectively. If they are strategic, they rely on what you sell to a great enough extent that you cannot fail them. The fastest way to lose a strategic account is to fail to execute.This is about outcomes. Three days before it launches officially, the OnePlus 6T has been leaked in detail. And the latest leak, which includes the OnePlus 6T full images and full specs, confirms almost everything about the phone, except its India price. The leak is for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. This time around there are indications, if the supposed OnePlus 6T prices leaked earlier are accurate, that there may not be any 64GB OnePlus 6T variant.The leak comes courtesy a Twitter users, who has photos of the phone as well as its specs sheet. First the OnePlus 6T photos. The leaked images confirm — yet again — that the OnePlus 6T will come with a fingerprint sensor embedded under the screen. It also confirms that the phone will have a water-drop — or in other words an extremely tiny — notch. On the back, the phone will sport a dual-camera setup, shows the image leak. And on the front there is going to be single selfie camera. And the company has also teased better camera performance in the OnePlus 6T, compared to the shooting performance of the OnePlus 6. This, OnePlus has indicated, will happen through improvements in image processing a new low-light photo mode.The OnePlus 6T is also going to be the first OnePlus 6 phone without the 3.5mm headphone jack. However, it is expected that OnePlus will bundle a USB-C to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter in teh box with the OnePlus 6T.The OnePlus 6T launches globally on October 29 at an event in New York. In India, the phone will be formally launched at an event in New Delhi on October 30. The ACT Raiders of course!The Touch Football ACT representative teams at the 2015 Harvey Norman National Youth Championships have launched their new team name as well as new uniforms for the event at Sunshine Coast Stadium this week. Formerly the ACT Pirates, the Raiders have a new-look uniform that includes the Canberra Raiders logo as well as a green stripe in the uniform. The transition comes as the Canberra Raiders/Touch Football ACT relationship continues to grow, just over two years on from the NRL/TFA Strategic Alliance announcement. It is common to see Touch Football exhibition matches at Raiders home games, while there have been numerous Raiders players making appearances at Touch Football ACT events and functions over the past two years.Even Victor the Viking is making an appearance at the event, the first mascot to make the trip to the Sunshine Coast!Touch Football ACT Business Development Manager, Rod Wise said that the organisation is excited about the change.“It is good timing as we were required to change the branding/logos on our refreshed playing uniforms for national teams,” Wise said. “We decided on a name change and with the strategic alliance objective of forming close relationships with NRL Clubs we changed our name to the ACT Raiders. “The new uniforms feature the Raiders secondary logo and a fusion of both entities colours.
